High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder-(11,600): With Durant out again tonight, Westbrook will have to carry the Thunder offense against Memphis.  He struggled with his shot (6-23) and only had 17 points on Monday in OKC’s loss to the Kings.  However, I expect him to be ready with big bounceback game tonight against the Grizz who he has averaged 26.5 points, 15 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals against in two meetings this season.

John Wall-Washington Wizards (9,600): Wall had a bad game against the Heat on Sunday, but he’ll need to play much better tonight against the Cavs since he’s still the key piece of everything the Wizards do on offense.  When he and the Wizards visited Cleveland earlier this season, Wall dropped 35 points to go with ten assists, five steals, and four boards.  Granted, that was before Kyrie Irving returned, but Irving isn’t exactly known as a defensive specialist.  Wall had been on a run of seven straight games with at least 41 fantasy points, and he should be able to bounce back if he can avoid the shooting woes that plagued him on Sunday against the Heat when he shot just 6-21 from the field.

Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (8,300): Lowry and the Raptors take on the Nets tonight who lost Jarrett Jack for the season before their last game.  Lowry has posted a double-double in each of his last three games with at least 38 fantasy points in each of those three outings and in seven of his last ten.  Unless the Raptors blow the doors off of Brooklyn early, Lowry should get enough playing time to make him a really good option against the Nets who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing PG so far this season . ∗∗∗∗

Kemba Walker-Charlotte Hornets (8,200): The Suns bowling escapades not withstanding, Kemba should be ready to to off tonight against Phoenix.  Walker is averaging 27.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 2.6 steals over his last five games and has been carrying the Charlotte offense without Al Jefferson and Nicolas Batum.  Even if Batum returns, Walker is a great option tonight against the Suns who allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing PG. While I don’t think they’ll snap their losing streak tonight, I do think they’ll make in competitive enough to force Walker to play his usual heavy workload.

Brandon Knight-Phoenix Suns (7,400): The Suns are admittedly a total mess, but its clear that Knight is their best offensive option and will carry the workload for Phoenix going forward.  If they’re going anywhere, it’s Knight that will take them there.  He has scored 20 points or more in five of his last eight games and had over 39 fantasy points in four of his last seven.  Knight has a ton of boom or bust potential and at times his shot can dry up, but at under 7K I love his potential to go off tonight as he tries to single-handedly bring the listen in Phoenix to a stop. ∗∗∗

Ricky Rubio-Minnesota Timberwolves (7,100): Rubio has at least 39 fantasy points in four of his last six games and is a multi-category contributor when he’s on his game.  Earlier this season he played three games against the Nuggets averaging 12.7 points, 8.0 assists, and 4.7 rebounds. Rubio will be in a place to succeed again tonight against a Denver backcourt that has given up the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG.
