High Salary C

Brook Lopez-Brooklyn Nets (7,900): Lopez has seven double-doubles in his last nine games and has at least 47 fantasy points in six of those contests.  He posted 24 points and 13 boards to go with three blocks on Wednesday against the Raptors and the loss of Jarrett Jack seems to be a non-factor in Lopez’s production.  He averaged 17.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks in his two previous meetings with the Magic this season, and he should be at or above those numbers again tonight making him a solid play at the top of the salary structure at center. When the Nets met the Magic last week, Lopez had 24 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks, and three steals for an outstanding 62.25 fantasy points. ∗∗∗∗∗

Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (7,100):  On the other side of that same matchup, Vucevic will look to bounce back after a few down games in a good matchup against Lopez and the Nets who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers. Vucevic hasn’t been able to reach 35 fantasy points in any of his last five games after reaching at least 40 fantasy points in four of his previous five games.  Tonight’s matchup should help him turn things back around especially when you consider he averaged 19 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists against Brooklyn in their earlier meetings this season including 20 points and nine boards last week.

Zaza Pachulia-Dallas Mavericks (6,000): Pachulia takes on his former team as the Mavs visit Milwaukee tonight.  He rested Wednesday, but he comes into tonight’s action with at least 34 fantasy points in each of his last six games active including a 34 fantasy point game against Milwaukee December 28 when he finished with 17 points, eight boards, two assists, and two steals.  Pachulia has been very consistent and very productive lately, and he’s a solid play against Greg Monroe and the Bucks tonight at just 6K. ∗∗
