High Value SF

T.J. Warren-Phoenix Suns (4,900): Warren had a horrible clunker on Sunday against the Lakers registering just 1.5 fantasy points.  However, he has at least 29 fantasy points in four of his last six games and has scored 17 points or more in three of his last four.  Warren played 37 minutes against Charlotte in Phoenix’s win on Wednesday and had 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  While he does carry some risk, he should get expanded time due to the injury to Eric Bledsoe and new injuries to P.J. Tucker and Ronnie Price.  Warren isn’t a lock, but he has very solid upside at this reduced salary and in a good matchup against the Heat.

Mirza Teletovic-Phoenix Suns (4,600): The Suns have also been relying on Teletovic and his long-distance shot in their new-look rotation as injuries continue to mount.  Teletovic has at least 13 points in four straight games and has finished with at least 23 fantasy points in each of those games.  He had 38 fantasy points on Wednesday, and he should be out there hoisting three’s again tonight as the Suns try to beat the Heat.∗∗∗

Tony Allen-Memphis Grizzlies (3,800): Memphis has been suddenly hit with injuries in the backcourt as both Mike Conley and Courtney Lee come into tonight as doubtful against the Nuggets.  Allen played well last week in place of Matt Barnes while Barnes served a two-game suspension and could see an uptick in minutes with the mounting injury toll.  Allen can contribute solid defensive numbers and enough rebounds/assists to get to around 20 fantasy points if he gets time and has at least 20 fantasy points in three of his last four games.  He’s low-risk since he likely will be on the floor so much, but he does have limited upside since he usually leaves the scoring to others.

James Johnson-Toronto Raptors (3,500): If you’re looking for a cheap gamble at SF, James Johnson could be the best play as he and the Raptors visit DC.  No team in the NBA allows more fantasy points to opposing SF than the Wizards do, and Johnson looked good in his start on Wednesday managing eight points, five boards, and two blocks in 26 minutes against the Nets.  He is a high-risk play, but there is a lot to like about his matchup and his minutes while the Raptors figure out the best way to fill in for DeMarre Carroll going forward.
