Thea Queen

Oliver has already lost both of his parents since the show debuted in 2012, so why not his little sister?

The younger Queen sibling has joined her vigilante brother on his crusade to save their city, putting her in danger on a fairly regular basis. Such is the life of a hero. Could her new Speedy persona be leading to her demise?

We’ve seen Thea’s life hanging in the balance before, only to be revived by a dip in the Lazarus Pits. Unfortunately cheating death has a few side effects, as Thea returned with an insatiable blood lust that can only be quenched by killing. The effects of this have made her ferocious, unpredictable and uncontrollable, all of which seem to mix to form a recipe for disaster.

While an awkward encounter with Damien Darhk has mysteriously held her murderous tendencies at bay, there’s no telling when the thirst for blood will overwhelm her again. If she were to lose control again it could certainly set her on a path for a fatal mistake.

While the loss of his sister would certainly be devastating enough to warrant the emotion we saw from Oliver in the cemetery scene, Thea’s story seems far from over. We still haven’t seen her overcome the effects of the Pit permanently or learned how Darhk was able to subdue those effects. She also is starting to slowly build a relationship with Oliver’s campaign manager, which seems like an unnecessary side plot if the intent is for her to be killed off.

Besides, does anyone really think that Thea will be taken down without Malcolm Merlyn and his League of Assassins standing in the way?
