DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 15
High Salary PG
Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (9,400): Lillard and the Blazers should be in a solid place to succeed as they take on the Nets tonight in Brooklyn. Lillard has been playing great since returning from a foot injury and has at least 48 fantasy points in four straight games. He only needed 29 minutes on Wednesday to put up 21 points, ten assists, and seven rebounds for a total of 42.25 fantasy points. Brooklyn allows the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing PG, so I expect Lillard to keep right on rolling tonight with the only potential pitfall being an early blowout that results in even more limited playing time. ∗∗∗∗
Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (7,900): Another point guard who has been balling lately is Isaiah Thomas who gets to take on his old team as the Suns roll into the TD Garden. IT2 has at least 35 fantasy points in eight of his last nine games and has at least 48 in three of his last five. He is definitely the focal point of the Boston offense right now, and he should be pumped up to take on his former team. The Suns don’t defend opposing point guards well either allowing the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. Look for Thomas to post big numbers tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗
Michael Carter-Williams-Milwaukee Bucks (7,200): MCW has been inconsistent over his last few games with a couple of down performances against the Knicks and Wizards on the road. Tonight he’ll be back at the Bradley Center as the Bucks host the Hawks. Carter-Williams has tons of upside as evidenced by his four games in his last nine with at least 39 fantasy points, but he has played fewer minutes in a couple of games recently. With both O.J. Mayo and Jerryd Bayless hurting, though, he should get as many minutes as he can handle tonight making him a decent option at under 7K. ∗∗
Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (6,100): Holiday shot a woeful 2-12 on Wednesday but handed out his first ten-assist game of the season to still finish with 26.26 fantasy points. He has at least 25 fantasy points in six straight games which includes a monster 29-point, 11-rebound game in LA where he finished with 55.25 fantasy points against the Clippers. Tyreke Evans knee situation isn’t a good one which could open the door for Holiday to play even more minutes and make him a steal at this price. With Evans active-∗∗∗ With Evans out-∗∗∗∗
