High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,400): Westbrook is far and away the most expensive option tonight. In fact, no one is even within 4,000 of his salary at the PG spot.  Westbrook is coming off a triple-double against the Timberwolves when he racked up 12 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists in just 27 minutes as OKC cruised to a win.  He should be set up for a huge night tonight as well since Miami will be without Goran Dragic and probably starting Beno Udrih at the point.  Udrih won’t be slowing Westbrook down, and the only risk with Russell is that the game turns into a blowout like his last game did. He’ll actually be a better play if D-Wade plays because I think that will result in a close game. I like Westbrook, but the threat of a blowout is definitely a real possibility and something to consider. ∗∗

Jordan Clarkson-Los Angeles Lakers (6,200): Clarkson is the next-highest paid PG on the board for tonight, and he’s a solid play if you decide to save money and not spend big on Westbrook.  Clarkson had a horrible game last night in Utah finishing with just 13.3 fantasy points while playing a limited 25 minutes.  In his five previous games he had played at least 35 minutes in each contest while putting together at least 25 fantasy points in each of those games.  He may or may not have to deal with Patrick Beverley on defense (questionable-ankle), but either way I think he’ll be a solid enough play to deliver close to or at full value.

Tony Parker-San Antonio Spurs (6,100): Parker just crossed the 6K threshold after a pair of good games this week.  On Tuesday, he had 31 points against Detroit adding non-scoring stats to get to 39.3 fantasy points. He followed that up with a big game against the Cavs on Thursday with 24 points and 38.8 fantasy points. Tonight, he’ll take on Deron Williams and the Mavericks, and I think he makes a good play since San Antonio is home again for this one and doesn’t play again until Thursday (reduced chances of getting “Popped”).
