High Salary C

Nathan MacKinnon – Colorado Avalanche ($7,000): MacKinnon was kept off the scoresheet on Saturday but he’s still worth owning tonight. He’s got four points in his last six games and gets a very favorable matchup in Winnipeg tonight. The Jets are ranked 27th against opposing centers, setting up MacKinnon for a potentially big night. MacKinnon is averaging 4.1 fantasy points a game and has been very useful to fantasy owners.

Matt Duchene – Colorado Avalanche ($6,700): Duchene was also shut out on Saturday just like teammate Nathan MacKinnon. However, like MacKinnon, the matchup tonight with Winnipeg sets up as a very favorable one. Duchene has four points in his last four games, thanks in large part to a two-goal, one assist game on January 10. Duchene has a decent price and makes a solid pick at center tonight.

Sidney Crosby – Pittsburgh Penguins ($7,100): Crosby enjoyed a big game on Sunday with two goals and now has a three-game point streak and five points over his last three games. Crosby could finally be turning things around after a slow start to the season. He’s now up to 36 points on the season and is showing that he could once again be considered one of the top fantasy targets at center. He’s averaging 3.6 fantasy points a game and has surpassed five fantasy points twice in the last three games.

High Value C

Paul Stastny – St. Louis Blues ($4,800): Stastny recorded a goal on Saturday night, giving him six points over the last eight games he’s played in. He was red-hot with points in five of six games before being forced to miss two games due to an injury. Stastny could provide some great value tonight for your lineup and deserves a serious look.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau – Ottawa Senators ($3,000): Pageau had a goal and an assist on Saturday night, breaking a stretch of 10 games without a point. He has just 15 points on the year and isn’t normally a reliable fantasy producer. However, thanks to his good game on Saturday night he could be starting to heat up. Pageau is a deep sleeper tonight but his price won’t cost you much cap space. Take a risk and hope that he surpasses his 2.1 fantasy points per game average.

Patrick Berglund – St. Louis Blues ($4,000): Berglund is another St. Louis center worth targeting tonight after a big game on Saturday with two assists. With a two-goal game on January 12, he’s got four points in his last three games. Berglund flies under the fantasy radar and doesn’t usually have a high ownership number, making him an excellent value pick for your lineup.
