player. 50.
The Detroit Lions are a roller coaster. They’re cold, they’re hot, and they’re struggling to find an identity. Now to top it all off, superstar wide receiver Calvin Johnson is considering retirement this offseason?

The Lions might want to start looking for Megatron’s replacement, or in the best case scenario, a wide receiver who can be a weapon for quarterback Matthew Stafford in however many years Johnson decides to hang around.

Enter Ohio State wide receiver Michael Thomas, a Big Ten star familiar to the market. Thomas has a similar size and frame to stud NFL receivers like Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys or Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons. He can go out and get a ball away from his body and can fight for catches in 50/50 situations.

It comes at a bad time for the Lions, who probably more desperately need help in their secondary. But can any team resist a play-maker with superstar potential like Michael Thomas?

Pretty much selecting any player on the defensive side of the ball, whether at linebacker or defensive line, could be a solid option as well.

That being said, those can be addressed in free agency and Thomas could be Stafford’s partner of the future.
. WR. Ohio State. Michael Thomas. 16
