Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are a team that could stand to upgrade at running back. Giovanni Bernard is a versatile option but he’s not the kind of guy who can handle a lot of touches and he certainly can’t run up the middle. Jeremy Hill has proven that he’s not ready to handle a majority of the carries in the Bengals offense. Marshawn Lynch would be a great fit for the Bengals.

Marshawn Lynch would help make the Bengals rushing offense better. At worst, Lynch is still a very attractive third down option. Lynch is the type of player who if you tell him to get two yards, he might get 25 inches, but he will still get you the two yards. Lynch would ease the burden on Hill and possibly open things up for Bernard.

Lynch has some obvious character issues and carries quite a bit of baggage with him. It’s a legitimate concern to a team like the Bengals who already have numerous players with explosive personalities. Could Adam Jones and Lynch co-exist? Would Lynch be a negative influence on Hill and Bernard?

The Bengals Super Bowl window is quickly closing. They should take a risk and go after Marshawn Lynch if he is cut by Seattle. He could help make them a better team and take them to the next level.
