High Salary PG

Stephen Curry-Golden State Warriors (10,600): As bizarre as it sounds, Curry is actually under-priced even though he costs over 10K. Curry has at least 56 fantasy points in each of his last four games and five of his last six.  He had a massive 79 fantasy points on Friday in the Warriors most recent game when he notched a triple-double with 39 points, 12 assists, and ten rebounds.  He will need to go off like that against San Antonio for the Warriors to get a win, and you’ll be counting on that if you spend this much on him tonight. He’s risky for fantasy basketball only because of his price, but watching him tonight against the Spurs will be must-see TV, and you’ll be celebrating every big shot if you’ve also stashed him on your fantasy roster. ∗∗∗

Kemba Walker-Charlotte Hornets (8,600): Walker has been hot lately with at least 20 points in four straight games and six of his last eight.  He has dropped 40 and 52 points in two games during that stretch and has added enough peripheral production to reach 45 fantasy points in three of his last four games.  Walker is always a better play at home than on the road, but since he’s on such a binge and carrying the Hornets offense almost single-handedly, he’ll make a good play against the Kings who allow the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing PG. Even if Nicolas Batum is able to play, Kemba has established himself as the #1 option in the Hornets attack.

Rajon Rondo-Sacramento Kings (8,500): Rondo and the Kings will try and slow down Kemba Walker in their 10:00 start, but Rondo is on his own fantasy binge with back-to-back triple-doubles in his last two games and a very solid 48.5 fantasy points in just 34 minutes against Indiana.  In the Kings five-game winning streak, Rondo has been playing exceptionally well with five double-doubles with at least five rebounds in each of those contests and at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last four games and in eight of his last ten.

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (7,800): Since Boston put the Sixers away early, IT2 had to play only 24 minutes last night in Philly and should be well-rested for tonight’s back-to-back in DC. He had at least 34 fantasy points in four straight games and seven of eight before last night’s contests and one of those games came against the Wizards nine days ago when he had 32 points, five assists, and four rebounds against John Wall and company.  He isn’t the only true PG on the team anymore with Marcus Smart healthy, but he is still the focus of the Boston offense and should have another good game against Washington. ∗∗∗

Ricky Rubio-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,600) Rubio had a huge game against Memphis on Saturday even though he only played 29 minutes finishing with 15 points, 12 assists, six rebounds and three steals for a total of 47.5 fantasy points. Rubio is extremely up-and-down lately, but he’s in a good matchup against the Cavs tonight, and he’ll look to build on his momentum from Saturday’s game.  He’s a high-risk, high-reward play.

Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (6,400): Even though he isn’t starting of the Pelicans, he should get plenty of playing time as they try to manage Tyreke Evans minutes.  Holiday has at least 36 fantasy points in four of his last five games and is in a good matchup against the Rockets, but his unsure spot in the rotation makes him a little more high-risk than a player more locked in to higher minutes.

Mike Conley-Memphis Grizzlies (6,200): Conley has played well since returning from his injury with 34.25 fantasy points, 29.75 fantasy points, and 28.25 fantasy points in his three games back.  He only played 24 minutes against Rubio and the Wolves, but he should start increasing his minutes going forward.  Tonight, he takes on Orlando  who have allowed the sixth most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG in their last five games.  Kemba Walker went off against the Magic, and Conley has a chance to exploit those same matchups for a big game tonight.  Even if he doesn’t have a huge game, he contributes in enough categories that he is a relatively safe play tonight.
