The NBA has back-loaded some of the best games on the schedule into the remaining section of the season as it starts to take the center sports stage from the NFL.  One of those headliner games helps us start this week with a bang as the Spurs and Warriors tangle for the first time this season as they battle for Western Conference supremacy.  That’s just one of the nine games to take a look at as you build your fantasy basketball team, so I have selected my favorite options in my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides to help you have a solid place to start assembling your roster.

More from Charlotte Hornets

The Warriors-Spurs game is definitely the capstone of the evening and also serves as the second game in the NBATV double-header.  The first game of that double-header is one of the two games that are the earliest tip time starting at 7:00 PM ET.  The NBATV double-header starts with the Cavaliers in their second game under Tyronn Lue taking on the T-Wolves while in the other 7:00 start the Wizards host Boston in a nice Eastern Conference rivalry.  In another Eastern Conference showdown, at 8:00 the Bulls host a beat up Miami team while at the same time the Grizz host Orlando and the Pelicans and Anthony Davis host red-hot James Harden and the Rockets. The Beard vs Brow matchup will also be must-watch matchup as both have their teams heading the right direction.

As we shift to the games out West, at 9:00 the Nuggets welcome in the Hawks as Atlanta finished its four-game western swing, and in the other 9:00 tip the Jazz welcome in the Pistons who are wrapping up a four-game trip of their own.  In the final game to tip off before the marquee matchup, the Kings look to keep rolling as they take on Kemba Walker and the Hornets. All those compelling games should get us ready for the big game of the night at 10:30 as the Warriors look to improve to 21-0 at home as they host San Antonio in the first meeting of the two Western Conference superpowers.

With those 18 teams filling up the night, there are plenty of different ways to put together a solid DFS team.  My DraftKings daily picks on the following slides are a great place to start building your winning roster to start the week. Each position has two slides assigned to it–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two options with a few extras thrown in where possible (and its easy to throw in extras today, so it’s a jumbo-sized edition).  I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.

This month, I also have started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but the short version is “more stars=more confidence.” On the final slide of the post, you can see my results for the last three weeks at each level of confidence.  Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for today’s contests.

In this post, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to DraftKings pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for FanDuel, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on our fantasy basketball hub.
