Josh Norman: Five teams that could outbid the Panthers in free agency
3. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders are blessed with tons of cap space and a huge hole in their secondary after the retirement of safety Charles Woodson. Signing Josh Norman wouldn’t fill his exact spot on the field, but it would add some talent to a secondary that is going to need to replace a legend.
The Raiders have over 67 million dollars in cap room for next season, so they’re going to have to splash it on several big names. Adding Norman to help their 16th ranked pass defense would be a wise addition for the silver and black.
Signing a player like Norman would also play great with the classic Raider fans. I can only imagine how much the Black Hole would like to see a defensive player with that much swagger playing for their side.
Norman might have enough ability to make being a Raider fan fun again. That in and of itself would be enough to justify any dollar amount the team would need to spend on Norman to get him to switch coasts.
