High Value PG

Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (5,700): Jameer Nelson’s return could cut into Mudiay’s time eventually, but the rookie has been playing pretty well lately with at least 28 fantasy points in five of his last seven.  He had 20 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals against the Wizards on Thursday for a total of 33.5 fantasy points. He’s in a less-than-great matchup against the Pacers, and Nelson’s presence also makes him a little higher risk than he has been for the last few weeks.

Norris Cole-New Orleans Pelicans (5,600): Cole stepped up in Evans absence on Thursday with 17 points, ten assists, and seven rebounds for a solid 43.25 fantasy points. Cole had at least 30 fantasy points in two of his last four games, and he should again step into a larger role if Evans is out tonight. He’s no lock, though, since his production fluctuates from game to game and he can disappear at times when his shot isn’t dropping.  With Evans-∗ No Evans-

George Hill-Indiana Pacers (5,200): Hill has scored at least 13 points in six of his last seven games and had 18 with eight rebounds in his most recent game on Thursday against Atlanta.  He finished that game with 32.5 fantasy points, and he should be able to get near that number again tonight as he takes on the  Nuggets who allow the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. ∗∗

Donald Sloan-Brooklyn Nets (4,800): Sloan has taken over PG responsibilities for the Nets since Jarrett Jack’s injury, and he has been steady even though he has sort of leveled off after a few big games to start his tenure as the starting PG.  Sloan has reached at least 25 fantasy points in six of his last eight games although he hasn’t been over 26 fantasy points in each of his last four.  Taking on the Pelicans and their injury-plagued backcourt should be a good matchup for Sloan although he does have limited upside. ∗∗
