6. Denver Broncos: Super Bowl XXXII

While the Denver Broncos did post a 12-4 record in 1997 they were a wildcard in the playoffs, and only once before in NFL history had a wildcard found a way to win the big game as the Los Angeles Raiders did so in 1983.

Pair that stat with the opponent, the 13-3 Green Bay Packers led by Brett Favre and it was easy to see why the Broncos were not favored to win this one.

The Broncos were led by their talented, but aging quarterback John Elway and the running of Terrell Davis. The two worked together to help in a 31-24 win as the two teams faced off in San Diego. Davis rushed for 157 yards and set a Super Bowl record by scoring three touchdowns on the ground, one of which was the go-ahead score with less than two minutes remaining in the game.

Davis was awarded the Super Bowl MVP for his amazing performance and the Broncos were able to ride that momentum to a Super Bowl win the following year as well. Elway was able to win the MVP of that game and promptly retired afterwards, riding off into the sunset as a back-to-back champion.

Elway now serves as the general manager of Denver and would love to see his team, which is currently the underdog, pull out one more win and watch their aged quarterback retire a champ like Elway did.
