High Salary W

Nikita Kucherov-Tampa Bay Lightning ($6,400): Kucherov was held pointless in his final game before the break, but had an eight-game point streak prior to that. Kucherov has had a fantastic season with 41 points through 49 games. He is averaging 3.5 fantasy points a game and has quietly turned into a reliable fantasy option.  His salary is decent and his production is high. That means that Kucherov is a great target tonight.

Johnny Gaudreau-Calgary Flames ($6,900): Gaudreau has been one of the biggest sources of production for the Flames this season. He’s got 21 goals and 29 assists and logs a ton of ice time, giving him ample opportunities to put up points. He picked up an assist in his last game and has four points in the last five games. Gaudereau is second in fantasy points a game (3.9) among available wingers tonight and makes for a solid target.

High Value W

Jiri Hudler-Calgary Flames ($3,900): Hudler has returned from an injury and has two points in his last three games. He’s the perfect sleeper candidate tonight given the matchup with Carolina. The Hurricanes are ranked 21st against right wingers. Hurdler won’t score a lot, but he’s very capable of setting up his teammates and needs to be in your lineup tonight.

Jeff Skinner-Carolina Hurricanes ($4,600): Skinner remains to be one of the most streaky players in the NHL. He has three points over the last two games and scored a goal and registered an assist in the last game before the All-Star break. Over that stretch, he’s earned fantasy owners six points a game. Skinner isn’t a must-start on most nights, but tonight he is.

J.T. Brown-Tampa Bay Lightning ($2,900): Brown is a deep sleeper tonight who could be the difference between your lineup finishing in the money or not. He is certainly not an everyday fantasy target, but could prove to be useful tonight. He only has 14 points this season, but has picked up two in his last four games. He gets a decent matchup with Detroit tonight and even if he doesn’t come through, his salary isn’t much of a risk for you to take a chance on.
