High Salary W

Johnny Gaudreau – Calgary Flames ($7,100): Gaudreau had a nice game on Wednesday with a goal and an assist against Carolina. He’s having a fantastic season with 52 points through 51 games and has been the best source of offense for the Flames this season. He gets great ice time and has plenty of chances to rack up fantasy points. He’s averaging nearly four fantasy points a game and has rarely been a disappointment to owners over the last month. Gaudreau is an excellent winger option tonight.

Phil Kessel – Pittsburgh Penguins ($6,700): Kessel has finally started to heat up for his new team after a slow and disappointing start to the season. He’s still not up to the level he’s been at in years past, but he has been very good lately with 10 points in his last 10 games. Kessel brings a four-game point streak into tonight’s game with Tampa Bay. Kessel’s struggles this year have brought his fantasy salary down, making him a good option for your lineup.

Nikita Kucherov – Tampa Bay Lightning ($6,500): Kucherov continued his solid play on Wednesday with a goal and an assist against Detroit. He’s now up to 21 goals and 22 assists for the season and has 13 points in his last 10 games. He plays on Tampa’s second line and has blossomed into a very reliable fantasy source. He makes for a good target right now.

High Value W

Carl Hagelin – Pittsburgh Penguins ($3,700): Hagelin assisted on another goal Tuesday night and now has an assist in five of the six games he’s played with the Penguins. He has taken full advantage of playing with Pittsburgh’s stars, as all of his assists have gone to Phil Kessel, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Hagelin is a must-start right now and an excellent value play with a price tag under $4,000.

David Perron – Anaheim Ducks ($4,300): Perron had a monster game Thursday night, scoring his seventh goal of the season and adding two assists. He has certainly enjoyed the new scenery in Anaheim so far. He has played in six games since being traded from the Penguins and already has three goals and five assists for the Ducks. A favorable matchup with Arizona awaits him tonight, as the Coyotes are 26th in the league in points allowed to left wingers. Perron needs to be in fantasy lineups tonight.

Nikolaj Ehlers – Winnipeg Jets ($4,200): Ehlers has really heated up as of late and kept it going on Tuesday with an assist against Dallas. He’s in the middle of a five-game point streak and has racked up 10 points in the last 10 games. Tonight’s matchup with Carolina looks very good on paper, as the Hurricanes are ranked 2oth against right wingers. Take Ehlers and use the cap space you’ll save elsewhere.
