High Salary C

Sidney Crosby-Pittsburgh Penguins ($7,800): Crosby netted his 21st goal of the season on Friday night and extended his goal streak to five games. He’s playing the best hockey of any available center right now and needs o be used in daily fantasy lineups. He’s got a nine-game point streak and has nine goals in his last seven games. Crosby and the Penguins have a tough matchup tonight with Florida, but he remains a must-start.

Nicklas Backstrom-Washington Capitals ($6,700): Backstrom dished out two assists on Thursday night and now has a five-game point streak and 17 points in the last 15 games. He’s a talented playmaker who plays with a ton of talent around him and makes for a great fantasy start every time he’s on the ice. He’s been putting up fantasy points at a good clip recently and although he has a tough match with New Jersey tonight, he should be considered a top target at center.

Joe Pavelski-San Jose Sharks ($8,000): Pavelski has been as steady as anybody this season and now has 26 goals and 27 assists. He’s coming off a two-assist game on Thursday and has eight points in his last six games. Pavelski can help out a fantasy lineup in nearly every category and he has earned his owners an average of 4.4 points a game. Tonight he has to face Nashville, a team that’s been very stingy in allowing fantasy points to opposing centers. Still, Pavelski is a proven fantasy stud and is always a great target.

Connor McDavid-Edmonton Oilers ($6,100): McDavid has returned to the Edmonton lineup in a big way. The rookie missed 37 games this season due to a broken clavicle, but he has wasted no time showing off his immense talent on the ice. He has one goal and four assists in just two games back with the Oilers. He’s played in just 15 total games this season but already has six goals and 11 assists. In limited action this year, McDavid has shown that he deserved to be the top overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft. Tonight he’ll go up against the struggling Canadiens and will look to stay hot. Take him now before his daily fantasy salary soars.

High Value C

Derek Stepan-New York Rangers ($5,000): Stepan picked up an assist on Thursday night and now has nine goals and 13 assists through 41 games this season. He’s got seven points in the last eight games and gets a great matchup with Philadelphia today. The Flyers are ranked 27th against opposing centers, and Stepan recorded an assist the last time he took on the rival from Philadelphia. If you’re looking for good value, Stepan is your guy.

Vincent Trocheck-Florida Panthers ($4,800): Trocheck isn’t a household name in the fantasy hockey world, but he’s quietly put up 17 goals and 15 assists for the Panthers this season. He’s currently red-hot with a four-game point streak. He’s got eight points over that span, including a two-goal, one-assist effort his last time out on Thursday night. Trocheck is a must-start at this point in time.

J.T. Miller-New York Rangers ($4,300): If you are looking to save even more money at center today, scroll through the centers until you come across New York’s J.T. Miller. He’s not an overly-popular fantasy pick, something that’s good for those who do decided to use him. He’s riding a three-game point streak and has eight points in his last six games. Miller also has had a nose for the net lately, as he’s in the middle of a three-game goal streak and has seven goals in the last six games. There’s no other way to describe it- Miller is absolutely on fire right now and needs to be part of your fantasy roster, especially considering the favorable matchup with Philadelphia.
