DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- February 6
High Salary D
Erik Karlsson-Ottawa Senators ($7,500): Karlsson had a huge game on Thursday, dishing out two assists and earning seven points for his fantasy owners. He’s averaging 4.7 fantasy points a game for the season and and 7.6 fantasy points over the last five games. An extremely favorable matchup with Toronto awaits him tonight, making Karlsson the best defenseman to target for daily fantasy lineups.
Dustin Byfuglien-Winnipeg Jets ($6,600): Byfuglien looks to have put his slump behind him for now. He’s got a three-game point streak going and even scored a goal and added an assist in last weekend’s All-Star Game. He picked up a goal Tuesday night versus Dallas, extending his goal streak to three games. He’ll look to remain hot tonight in a good matchup with Colorado. Byfuglien can be one of the best defenseman available when he’s playing well. Feel free to pull the trigger on him tonight.
High Value D
Travis Hamonic-New York Islanders ($4,200): Hamonic has worked himself into fantasy relevancy over the last few games. He’s riding a two-game point streak and four points over the last four games. Hamonic certainly isn’t a sure thing when it comes to fantasy points, but he’s certainly been valuable lately with an average of 4.75 points over the last four games. Today he’ll go up against Detroit, a team ranked 23rd in points allowed to defensemen. Successful sleeper picks are necessary for daily fantasy hockey lineups, and Hamonic looks to be that guy today.
Shayne Gostisbehere-Philadelphia Flyers ($5,300): Gostisbehere continued his recent hot play with another assist on Thursday night. He now has points in six straight games and has been extremely useful for daily fantasy hockey lineups. Of course, the price tag is much higher now, but that doesn’t change the fact that Gostisbehere is still an excellent value pick at defenseman. The Flyers will need him to have a big game today if they hope to pull off an upset of the Rangers.
