DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 7
High Salary PG
Chris Paul-Los Angeles Clippers (9,400): CP3 has at least 19 points in six of his last seven games and has been able to total at least 40 fantasy points in seven of his last ten. He is consistently around a double-double in points and assists and has multiple steals in each of his last five games as well. Today, he takes on the Heat who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG, but aside from the touch matchup Paul is a great play. Don’t expect a monster game against Miami since they do defend opposing PG so well, but Paul should be able to put up solid numbers even if he doesn’t totally go off. ∗∗
Rajon Rondo-Sacramento Kings (8,000): Rondo’s back in Boston as the Kings visit the Celtics with everyone on “George Karl watch.” Rondo had a very nice game against the Nets on Friday finishing with 45.75 fantasy points on 15 points and 15 assists while adding three steals. His playing time was limited a bit due to a toe injury, but he has still managed to score 15 points or more in five of his last six while still handing out solid assist numbers. He has at least 35 fantasy points in nine of his last ten with four games over 40 fantasy points in his last eight. He should be fired up to play his former team, but the Celtics typically defend opposing PG even better than Miami, so Rondo will have a tough matchup against Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart. ∗∗∗
Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (7,500): Thomas doesn’t have the tough matchup of the first two options on this list since Sacramento allows the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. IT4 has at least 33 fantasy points in each of his last four games and continues to be a key cog in the Boston offense. He usually plays over 30 minutes and ends up around 20 points with solid peripheral numbers as well. While he doesn’t have the upside of Paul or Rondo, he is in the best matchup and costs less making him a better value.∗∗∗∗
