DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 7
There’s no better way to get ready for the big game than with a DFS fantasy basketball win and my DraftKings daily picks are here to help.
If you’re looking for an appetizer to tonight’s football feast, check out the light fare in the NBA this afternoon with four tasty matchups on tap on the East Coast to serve as a nice warmup for the big game tonight. If you want to get in on the early DFS fantasy basketball action, you’ll have to build your fantasy lineup early, and my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides are a good place to get started.

DraftKings competitions start at 1:00 PM ET which is when the first three games of the day get started in Boston, Orlando, and New York. The Celtics are hosting the Kings in what could be one of coach George Karl’s last games, the Nuggets are in NYC to face the Knicks, and the Magic try to snap their three-game losing streak as they host the Hawks. The one game with a later start gets underway at 2:00 in South Beach which where Chris Paul and the Clippers finish their Florda trip with a meeting with Dwyane Wade and the Heat.
There aren’t a lot of games, but those eight teams provide us a solid pool of players to pick from today. To see who I think you should target, check out my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides. You’ll find two slides per position–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two selections with extras thrown in where possible. I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.
At the beginning of 2016, I started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence. On the final slide of the post, you can see my recent results at each level of confidence. Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for today’s contests.
In this post, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to DraftKings pricing and scoring. If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for FanDuel, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on our fantasy basketball hub.
If you have any questions about my picks for today or any of our Fansided fantasy coverage, you can leave them at the bottom of the page in the comments section. For an even quicker response, you can find me throughout the day on Twitter @FansidedFantasy. I have some other things to take care of this morning, but I should be on Twitter in the hour before the games start at 1:00 and will do all I can to help you with any last minute adjustments and provide you with any injury updates.
