High Value SG

Evan Turner-Boston Celtics (5,600): Even though e’s still coming off the bench behind a banged-up Jae Crowder, Turner has been playing very well for Boston and makes an intriguing play at just under 6K since he can contribute big nights in so many different ways.  He had a double-double against Cleveland with 19 points and 12 rebounds last Friday and followed that up with 11 points and nine assists on Sunday against the Kings.  In those games, he had 46 and 29.5 fantasy points and now has over 29 fantasy points in four straight games and in seven of his last eight.  Turner has scored in double-digits in nine of his last ten and usually contributes in rebounds, assists, or both. As the Celtics face the Bucks and their wing depth tonight, look for Turner to once again be very involved off the bench, and he definitely has a good chance at returning full value at this price. ∗∗∗

Arron Afflalo-New York Knicks (5,300): Afflalo is growing into a more important part of the Knicks offense with or without Carmelo Anthony.  Afflalo has played at least 38 minutes in seven of the Knicks’ last eight games.  Although with a new head coach that could change a bit, Afflalo has been productive scoring at least 14 points in each of his last four games and seven of his last eight.  He almost always adds rebounds and assists at a good enough rate to be of use as well and has at least 22 fantasy points in each of those seven of his last eight games with over 29 fantasy points in two of his last three. He’ll take on Beal and the Wizards tonight in a matchup he should be able to attack successfully.  The change in coach adds a little risk, but he still has enough upside to play.

Danny Green-San Antonio Spurs (4,700): Green has stepped into a slightly larger role for the Spurs with Manu Ginobili out with an-injury-that-shall-not-be-named. Green posted at least 26 fantasy points in two of his last three games and in four of his last eight.  He has been playing around 30 minutes in non-blowout games and had a nice, solid 26.75 fantasy points against the Lakers on 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.  He can fill in the stat sheet when he’s playing extended time and his shot can start dropping at any time.  He isn’t one of the top options in the Spurs’ attack, but he’s a nice value at just 4,700 as he steps up into a larger role for San Antonio.

Raymond Felton-Dallas Mavericks (4,600): With Devin Harris out already for tonight, Felton makes an interesting option since he replaced Wesley Matthews in Dallas’s crunch-time lineup on Saturday and finished with a very solid 16 points and seven rebounds for 29.75 fantasy points. He has at least 19 fantasy points in four of his last five games, so he usually produces solid numbers even when not getting the extra time, but if he gets over 30 minutes again tonight look for Felton to be a great value once again.
