High Salary W

Nikita Kucherov-Tampa Bay Lightning ($6,600): Kucherov failed to land on the scoresheet in last night’s game, but he still has 12 points over his last 10 games. With 45 points for the season, he’s been a very important source of offensive production for the Lightning. Tonight he’ll get to face Montreal, a team ranked 23rd in fantasy points allowed to opposing right wingers. Kucherov had been very good to his fantasy owners this year and is available for much lower than some of the other winger targets tonight.

Alexander Ovechkin ($8,700): Ovie scored his 30th goal of the season on Sunday and now has four goals in his last six games. Washington’s star winger is a threat every night to put up huge numbers. He is always a player to target, regardless of the matchup. Selecting Ovechkin will cost you a lot of cap space, but you’d hate to have him go off with a monster performance without taking advantage.

Patrick Kane-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,600): Kane netted his 33rd goal on Saturday and heads into tonight with a two-game goal streak. He’s got points in three straight games and 13 goals in his last 10 games. Kane is the definition of a fantasy beast and is of course a top target each night he plays. If Kane is the high priced winger you choose tonight, you’ll have to get creative with some of your other picks, but he certainly has a chance to give you some big numbers.

High Value W

Lee Stempniak-New Jersey Devils ($4,800): Stempniak was shut out versus the Rangers on Monday night, but he’s been a consistent producer lately with nine points in his last nine games. He’s had a very solid year for the Devils and has put up 15 goals and 24 assists in 53 games. He gets a lot of opportunities both at even strength and on the power play and can be a very good value play on most nights. Tonight he’ll face Edmonton, a team ranked 30th in points allowed to right wingers.

Andre Burakovsky-Washington Capitals ($4,300): Burakovsky continued his hot streak with another assist on Sunday. That’s now a seven-game point streak for the youngster and he is finally blossoming into the star some thought he could be when Washington drafted him in 2013. He’s got 13 points in the last 10 games and is red-hot at this point in time. The second line that he plays on with Evgeny Kuznetsov and Justin Williams is almost as talented as the top line, giving him a great opportunity to produce each night. Keep picking Burakovsky until he slows down.

David Perron-Anaheim Ducks ($4,300): Perron faced off against the team that traded him a few weeks back on Monday night but was unable to find the scoresheet. However, he still makes for an interesting fantasy play, as he’s put up eight points in his first eight games with the Ducks. His price is very nice and will help save some valuable cap space to use elsewhere. Perron has now gone pointless for two games in a row, but he should still be trusted tonight in Philadelphia. The Flyers are the worst team in the league when it comes to points allowed to opposing left wingers.
