High Salary C

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (10,600): Cousins, George Karl, and the Kings host the Nuggets tonight who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing PF so far this season and have had a revolving door at center.  Cousins had a huge start to 2016 before slowing down a little on the Kings’ road trip before the end of the first half.  Since he’s back at home tonight and in such a good matchup, he’s my favorite 10K plus option tonight and it wouldn’t surprise me if he went off for a crazy night of 60+ fantasy points. He’s risky because he’s volatile and expensive, but he should be able to deliver in this good matchup at Sleep Train Arena tonight.

Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (9,000): Towns was already running away with the Rookie of the Year race before his All Star weekend when he won the Skills Competition and played a big role in the Rising Stars win for the USA.  Before the break, Towns had at least 32 fantasy points in nine straight games including six games over 45 fantasy points and a pair over 50 fantasy points. His best performance during that stretch came in the Wolves win over Toronto to head into the break when he had 35 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks on his way to 55.7 fantasy points. Towns has huge upside every night for DFS and going forward as a key part of the growth of a suddenly-promising Timberwolves team. Tonight, he’ll face the Grizzlies who are ranked very well against opposing centers, but much of that was due to the outstanding work of Marc Gasol who is out with a foot injury.

Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (8,300): Vucevic is one of my favorite options at center because he produces nice numbers across the board.  He runs hot-and-cold but when he’s on his game he can really be a great value.  He was hot headed into the break averaging 23.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists over his last three games each of which resulted in over 33 fantasy points. He had at least 33 fantasy points in seven of his last ten games before the break and will look to continue his momentum as he adnthe Magic host Dallas tonight. ∗∗

Marcin Gortat-Washington Wizards (6,800): “The Polish Hammer” stepped up for me last night delivering 47 fantasy points on 22 points, ten rebounds, and five blocks against the stout front line of the Jazz.  He’ll need to play big for the Wizards again tonight as they tangle with Andre Drummond and the Pistons, so look for Gortat to post his sixth straight double-double even though he’s relatively affordable under 7K.
