High Value SG

Avery Bradley-Boston Celtics (5,700): Utah defends opposing SG well, but I still like Bradley as a solid sub-6K play tonight in Salt Lake City.  Bradley had at least 14 points in each of his last five games before the break and had at least 29 fantasy points in two of his last three.  He is playing big-time minutes in coach Brad Stevens rotation, and with the Jazz playing the second of back-to-back games I like AB to have a solid night tonight.

Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (5,400): Booker is getting all the minutes he can handle for the Suns as they see who they can build around in the future.  Booker played 42 minutes against Golden State in the final game before the break and had 35.4 fantasy points on a double-double of 15 points and ten assists.  He has the potential to go off tonight especially against the Rockets who allow the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.

Evan Fournier-Orlando Magic (5,200): Orlando was very active at the trade deadline although it remains to be seen exactly what impact it will have on their lineup long-term.  At this point, Fournier will start the next few games at SF with Aaron Gordon at PF and newly-acquired Ersan Ilyasova coming off the bench.  Fournier stepped in very nicely for Tobias Harris before the break when Harris was injured, and Fournier played over 42 minutes in each of Orlando’s last three games with at least 29 fantasy points in each of their last four.  Tonight against the Mavericks, Fournier is my favorite play under 6K with the only risk being that his playing time eventually will get reduced as coach Scott Skiles incorporates Ilyasova more into the rotation.

Jeremy Lin-Charlotte Hornets (4,900): The Hornets new acquisition, Courtney Lee is expected to start at SG going forward, but he will not be available for tonight’s contest after missing yesterday’s practice due to getting the physical to complete the trade.  Lin should get a spot start as a result and has posted 34, 37, 41.9, and 36.5 fantasy points in his last four games in which he has played over 25 minutes.  If he gets that much run tonight, he could end up being a great bargain.

Langston Galloway-New York Knicks (4,500): If new interim head coach Kurt Rambis is focused on defense look for Galloway to get more minutes at the point than the ineffective Jose Calderon.  Galloway played 29 minutes in Rambis’s first game finishing with 14 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals for a solid 29.5 fantasy points. Galloway has been an inconsistent producer, but if he can earn more consistent playing time he’s a solid value option especially tonight in a good matchup against the Nets.

Allen Crabbe-Portland Trail Blazers (4,300): The Warriors propensity to go small should allow the Blazers to get Allen Crabbe on the floor a lot tonight.  He has been playing quite a bit anyway for the Blazers although he finished the first half with just five points in 30 minutes against Houston.  Before that contest, though, the former Cal standout had back-to-back games with over 24 fantasy points.

Wayne Ellington-Brooklyn Nets (3,800): On the other side of the New York matchup, Wayne Ellington has been starting for the Nets and has at least ten points in seven of his last eight games with over 14 fantasy points in nine of his last ten contests.  He’s a ultra-cheap flier who doesn’t have a high ceiling, but he’ll almost certainly give you sometime which is more than can be said for most of the other options under 4K.
