High Salary SF

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (9,100): Melo is still in New York despite some pre-trade deadline rumors and will look to put the beatdown on the Knicks’ crosstown rivals tonight.  Anthony had at least 35 fantasy points in six straight games before the break culminating in a monster game against the Wizards when he posted 51.6 fantasy points on 33 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  He is in a great matchup against the Nets tonight who he had 28 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals against in their meeting earlier this season. He’s substantially cheaper than Kevin Durant tonight, and I actually like his matchup better, so I’d go with Melo if you spend big at SF tonight.

Paul George-Indiana Pacers (8,700): George had a big game in Toronto last Sunday scoring a game-high 41 points for the Eastern Conference, and he’ll take on fellow-All Star Kevin Durant as he visits OKC tonight.  George got off to a good start this month averaging 22 points, 7.2 boards, and 5.2 assists before the break and posting at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last five games before the extended layoff.  Tonight, he’ll have to deal with Durant, but I think he’ll also produce a solid stat line of his own and be a better points-per-dollar play than KD.

Danilo Gallinari-Denver Nuggets (7,200): The Nuggets have gotten good play from Gallinari most of the season, and he has been surprisingly healthy so far this year.  He produced at least 31 fantasy points in three of his last four games before the break including tow games of over 40 fantasy points against the Bulls and Nets.  Tonight, he’ll be in a nice matchup against the Kings who have given up more fantasy points to opposing SF in their last five games than any other team in the NBA.  Look for Gallo to light it up in Sacramento tonight especially with so many of the Kings wings dealing with injuries.

Chandler Parsons-Dallas Mavericks (6,600): Parsons will be in a good matchup against the Magic tonight as they try to figure out their new SF rotation after trading away Tobias Harris.  Parsons is completely over the injury that forced him to start the season slow and had at least 32 fantasy points in six of his last ten before the break.  Parsons is an across-the-board contributor when he’s at his best, and he should be ready to continue his heavy workload for the Mavs after getting some extra time over the last week.

Jae Crowder-Boston Celtics (6,000): Crowder was nursing all kinds of injuries before the All Star break but still playing over 30 minutes a night and contributing for Boston.  With the week off, hopefully Crowder will be back to fully healthy and ready to continue his solid season as he visits Gordon Hayward and the Jazz tonight in Utah.
