High Salary PG

Stephen Curry-Golden State Warriors (10,800): Curry and the Warriors got blown out last night in Portland, and he only played 26 minutes as a result.  Curry finished with 31 points, five assists, three boards, and two steals on his way to 43.1 fantasy points. He snapped a streak of four straight games with over 50 fantasy points, but he will look to bounce back against the Clippers tonight in a matchup he usually dominates.  In his two games this season against the Clips, Curry is averaging 35.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.0 steals.  He should be ready to go off in the nationally covered game tonight after putting up a less-than-memorable performance last night in Portland. I think he’s a good bet for 50 fantasy points tonight. ∗∗

Chris Paul-Los Angeles Clippers (10,000): The Warriors were demolished by Damian Lillard last night who scored 51 points in 31 minutes and finished with a massive 73.5 fantasy points. Chris Paul will look to exploit the same weaknesses tonight as the Clippers try to incorporate the newly-acquired Jeff Green into their offense as they match the small-balling, high-scoring Warriors tonight.  Paul had 28 points and 12 assists on Thursday finishing with 54 fantasy points. He has over 50 fantasy points in each of his last two games, but he had failed to reach that number in each of his eight previous contests.  I expect Paul to continue to carry the Clippers offense, and since he’ll need to put up a ton of points tonight to keep up with Golden State, I think he’s a good bet for 50 fantasy points as well. You could try and squeeze him and Curry into the same lineup, but if you’re forced to go with just one I’d lean toward CP3 given the facts that he’s at home and had a day off yesterday as well as his recent play. ∗∗

Jeff Teague-Atlanta Hawks (6,400): If you are looking for a midrange play over 6K but under the three elite options, Jeff Teauge is the best option as he and the Hawks look to erase yesterday’s loss to the short-handed Heat.  Teague had 23 points and seven assists in his 29 minutes against Miami finishing with 35.9 fantasy points. He has at least 29 fantasy points in four straight games and went off for 50 fantasy points at the beginning of the month against Dallas. Tonight, he’ll face Milwaukee who is still bringing Michael Carter-Williams off the bench and starting O.J. Mayo at the point.
