4. New York Giants

With the departure of Tom Coughlin in January, the New York Giants have a clean slate. Ben McAdoo is the new head coach, the former offensive coordinator of the team, and the Giants can now begin building towards another championship-caliber squad. The offense has potential, with Odell Beckham Jr. leading a potent passing offense when Eli Manning is on form, but the defense badly lags behind.

The secondary is poor and the run defense isn’t much better. However, both issues pale in comparison to their inability to rush the passer. The Giants were able to sack opposing quarterbacks only 23 teams in the regular season, and struggled as a whole to collapse the pocket.

The absence of Jason Pierre-Paul was clearly noticed throughout the season, but after his return with a club hand, he looked far from his destructive best. Pierre-Paul is an impending free agent and could well leave the organization by the time next season swings around. If he is no longer there, then there is a real dearth in pass rushers on the roster, and the Giants will be desperate to bring someone in.

Von Miller could be that guy, and with the glitz and glamour of New York, as well as a rather hefty $57 million in cap space to burn, he could well be tempted to join an organization steeped in world class pass rushers.
