If Roddy White is going to continue to play in the NFL after being released by the only team he has ever played for in the Atlanta Falcons, the most logical choice is to probably go north to Nashville and play for Mike Mularkey’s awful Tennessee Titans.

Mularkey was the former offensive coordinator for the Falcons when White was there, helping Matt Ryan and White become Pro Bowl caliber players in 2008-10. If White were to go to the Titans, he’d see another familiar face in his new offensive coordinator: former Falcons wide receivers Terry Robiskie.

Robiskie was a staple in the Atlanta coaching staff for several regimes. He’s known league wide as one of the best wide receivers coaches in recent history of the NFL. Atlanta, for a time, had the deepest wide receivers corps in football, as Julio Jones rose to prominence, Harry Douglas provide capable as a slot receiver, and White had yet to exit his NFL prime.

Nashville is only about five hours north of Atlanta and White could help groom another high-end draft prospect in 2014 Heisman Trophy winner and No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft Marcus Mariota. Tennessee may be the worst team in the NFL entering 2016, but the Titans could use White’s leadership, football IQ, and honestly his brashness to their advantage to turn their franchise around.

The Titans make a ton of sense for White to go to if he chooses to play at 35 years old in the National Football after being cut by his former employer in the Falcons after 11 years of high-end play.
