FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 2
High Salary PF
Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (10,200): Davis is questionable for tonight, but he’s in such a great matchup that as long as he’s cleared to play he’s one of the top expensive plays of the night. Davis had his huge 50-point, 20-rebound game against the Pistons where he posted 89 fantasy points then followed that with two other games with 40+ fantasy points before missing Saturday’s game with a toe injury. He practiced fully yesterday, though, and should be able to return from his sprained toe (no really, that’s not a Twitter joke, that was his injury). Davis is a monster when he’s on the floor and he’s in a great matchup tonight against the Rockets who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing PF than any other team in the NBA. Davis has played two full games against them this season and had 29 points and 13 rebounds at the beginning of December and 24 points and 13 rebounds the day after Christmas. He was heavily owned when he faced Houston the end of February, but he left after just 19 minutes finishing with nine points and six rebounds. Davis is a great matchup tonight, and I think he’s worth the risk of injury based on his form and the Rockets dreadful defense. ∗∗∗∗
LaMarcus Aldridge-San Antonio Spurs (7,300): Aldridge is in a nice matchup tonight against the Pistons who don’t have a true PF with Anthony Tolliver injured, Greg Monroe in Milwaukee, and Ersan Ilyasova traded away at the deadline. Detroit has been rotation Marcus Morris and Tobias Harris at PF and SF, but neither one of them should be able to slow down LA tonight. Aldridge had 47.7 of against the Rockets on Saturday with 26 points and 16 rebounds in just 33 minutes, and he has at least 35 fantasy points in seven of his last ten. As the Spurs come back home, I expect he and Kawhi to both have big games against a somewhat-thin Detroit rotation.∗∗∗
Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (6,500): Gordon was rolling along with a nice string of games with over 30 fantasy points, but that came to a screeching halt last night in Dallas as he was limited to just 20 fantasy points and 19 minutes due to foul trouble. He’s in a good place to bounce back tonight as he takes on the Bulls, and I expect him to be good for 30+ fantasy points against Chicago tonight especially since the Bulls have been giving up so many points to everyone lately.∗∗∗
Jabari Parker-Milwaukee Bucks (6,000): Parker’s price moves him out of the value section into the high-salary slide of my PF picks for today, but he’s still worth a look since he has been on fire lately. Parker had a monster game on Monday against Houston finishing with 36 points, five assists, four rebounds, and two steals. He had 47.3 fantasy points giving him two games in his last five with over 45 fantasy points and at least 30 fantasy points in six of his last seven. Parker has been great since the break, and he’ll look to keep his momentum going against another emerging star as Myles Turner and the Pacers come to the land of cheese to tangle with the Bucks. ∗∗∗∗
