Orlando Magic

The Magic seem to be interested in every free agent available this offseason and DeRozan is no exception.

With a wealth of young talent, the Magic could be on the verge of a breakout season with the right veteran free agent additions. Imagine DeRozan playing alongside emerging stars like Aaron Gordon, Elfrid Payton, Victor Oladipo, and Nikola Vucevic, and the possibilities of what this group could do together as DeRozan enters his prime only ever improving, seem limitless.

Now factor in other rumored free agents that the Magic are likely to pursue, say Al Hereford and Kevin Durant, and this team appears to be contenders for the next few seasons. The problem is if the team lands other big names like Durant and Horford, will they have the cap space to also give a max contract to DeRozan.

If DeRozan wouldn’t stay in Toronto for less then the league maximum, it seems unlikely he would go to Orlando for less as well.
