Owner Jimmy Haslem loves to make a splash when it comes to bringing players to Northeast Ohio. Now that the Johnny Manziel experiment is all but finished, the team looks ready to select a quarterback with the second overall pick in this year’s draft. Whether it is Carson Wentz or Jared Goff, that rookie is going to need some veteran help on the outside to get him comfortable with his new role in the NFL. If Dwayne Bowe can get his game anywhere close to where it once was in Kansas City, a trio of Victor Cruz, Bowe and Travis Benjamin could be something that would help change the fortunes of this franchise.

In all likelihood, however, a move to the Browns would be Victor Cruz admitting that he doesn’t care about getting a second Super Bowl ring and is just trying to get a big paycheck from a team willing to compete. With his recent injury history, Cruz doesn’t have the luxury of waiting for that rookie quarterback to gel with the offense over a period of time.

Cruz needs to get his numbers and get his money now…but he can’t do both as a member of a franchise consistently picking at the top of the draft ever spring.
