FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 12
High Salary SF
Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (9,600): Antetokounmpo hasn’t cost this much at any other point in the season, but I think he’ll be worth it tonight against a Pelicans defense that has struggled to stop anyone lately. “The Alphabet” has been extremely productive with four games in his last nine with over 60 fantasy points including three triple-doubles. He had 43.4 fantasy points against the Heat on Wednesday, but he should be able to do even more tonight since he’s now the center of the Milwaukee attack and will be in a very exploitable matchup. Remember, the Pelicans gave up a triple-double to Matt Barnes last night while losing to the Grizzlies skeleton crew. Look for the “Greek Freak” to have a huge game although he is a bit high-risk at this elevated price. ∗∗∗
Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (8,800): The Spurs got a nice win at home against the Bulls on Thursday behind Leonard’s 29 points and 47.4 fantasy points. He has over 45 fantasy points in each of his last three home games and over 40 fantasy points in six of his last eight overall. Tonight, he’ll have the task of slowing down Kevin Durant on defense, but he should still be involved in the offense as well. The Thunder have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF over their last four games, so Leonard is a play that makes sense if you want an option to cheer for in the ABC Primetime game tonight. ∗∗∗
Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (6,900): FanDuel moved Batum over to SF which makes sense since he’s starting next to Courtney Lee and Kemba Walker. Batum has bounced back and forth between SG and SF several times this year, but has shown he can be productive in either slot. He had a very solid double-double last night against the Pistons with 17 points and 11 assists powering him to 41.5 fantasy points. He has at least 31 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and I think he’ll produce over that number again tonight as he faces the Rockets who have allowed the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF so far this season. Batum usually puts together multi-faceted lints of fantasy production and is also logging heavy minutes for the Hornets which should set him up for success tonight at home against Houston.∗∗∗∗∗
Luol Deng-Miami Heat (6,300): The absence of Chris Bosh has allowed Deng to keep logging plenty of minutes even with the arrival of Joe Johnson. Deng has played at least 3o minutes in nine of his last ten games and has scored in double digits in 14 straight. He has 35+ fantasy points in three straight including a pair of double-doubles against the 76ers and Bucks. He is another multi-dimensional fantasy contributor and should be able to put together a good line tonight against the Raptors in Toronto who are still piecing together their forwards spots while they wait for DeMarre Carroll to return. ∗∗∗∗
