High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,700): If you’re going to spend on a super-elite PG tonight, I’d go with Westbrook in what should be a high-scoring game in Boston.  He’s coming off a huge game on Monday against Damian Lillard and the Blazers when he had his fourth triple-double in his last eight games with 17 points, 16 assists, and ten rebounds to amass a crazy 59 fantasy points in just 28 minutes.  He will have to deal with a tough Boston backcourt tonight, but I still think he has the highest ceiling of any PG on the board since he produces at a higher level than even Steph Curry in rebounds and assists on a regular basis.

John Wall-Washington Wizards (9,400): While he doesn’t have any triple-doubles lately, Wall has been solid for the Wizards and chipped in four double-doubles in his last five games falling just one assist short in the other contest.  He has at least 40 fantasy points in four of his last five as a result, and he’s in a great matchup against the Bulls who gave up a monster game to Kyle Lowry on Monday. Derrick Rose is questionable for Chicago, but whether he plays or not Wall should be able to post a big number against Chicago who has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing PG on the season.

Kemba Walker-Charlotte Hornets (8,900): Walker is a bit cheaper than the top-tier PG tonight, but he should be lined up for a big game tonight against the Magic who have multiple injury issues at PG with Elfrid Payton battling an elbow injury and C.J. Watson limited by illness.  Orlando got the win last night but allowed 110 points to the Nuggets, so look for a high-scoring game in Charlotte tonight s the Hornets look to bounce back from a slow game against the Mavericks. Walker had 25 points in that game on Monday finishing with 44.3 fantasy points thanks to his nine assists, four rebounds, and two steals.  He has at least 44 fantasy points in six of his last eight games making him a solid pick to return value in a favorable matchup tonight.

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (7,900): The Celtics lost on the road last night in their first game without Jae Crowder.  Thomas played 35 minutes and tot lade 43.2 fantasy points on 21 points, six boards, eight assists, two steals, and a even a blocked shot.  He will need to continue to do a little bit of everything while carrying the offense again tonight against OKC.  I love his matchup against the Thunder who allow the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG, and since Thomas is so aggressive I expect a big game from him tonight.  He’s a pretty save pick since he only has one game in his last ten with fewer than 30 fantasy points, but he has a ton of upside in tonight’s matchup as well.

Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (7,800): Holiday has had a couple of down games in his last two contests since one was on the second night of a back-to-back and the Pelicans were completely blown out by the Warriors in the other contests.  He will look to return to the form that saw him put up three straight games over 45 fantasy points last week, and he’s in a good place to do that as he faces the Kings tonight who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing PG and are on the second night of their own back-to-back. Holiday should be able to bounce back in a big way tonight.

Ricky Rubio-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,900): Rubio has posted over 45 fantasy points in each of his last two games tearing up the Thunder and Suns for nice double-doubles with multiple steals.  He is in another good matchup tonight against the patchwork Grizzlies who are piecing together their lineup with backups and D-League call-ups due to injury.  Rubio did have a bad game against the Spurs, but has had at least 33 fantasy points in five of his last eight making him definitely worth a look against Memphis tonight.
