High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,600): Westbrook is obviously the big name to know at PG tonight as he and the Thunder host Houston. In their two previous matchups this season, Westbrook has put up 25.5 points, 12.5 assists, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals.  He comes in off back-to-back triple-doubles against the 76ers and Pacers and has posted at least 44 fantasy points in four straight games.  Give the matchup and his recent form, Westbrook is a great play tonight who should be almost universally owned due to his recent production.  Fading Westbrook tonight won’t be easy since there aren’t any other elite options at PG, and the way he’s torched Houston in the past could leave you on the outside looking in if you try to hard to avoid the obvious option at PG. ∗∗

Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (8,200): Holiday will be the focus of the New Orleans offense at least in the short term and possibly for the rest of the season with Anthony Davis out and Ryan Anderson rumored to also be in danger of being shut down. Holiday has posted at least 39 fantasy points in each of his last two games and in six of his last nine contests.  He had 22 points and eight assists against the Clippers for 39.5 fantasy points, and he’ll almost certainly get his production in every game that isn’t a blowout the rest of the season.  Holiday will need his teammates to step up to help him keep things close against Miami tonight, but since they’re at home they should keep things competitive enough to give Holiday his full workload of minutes.

Goran Dragic-Miami Heat (6,500): Dragic is a great play tonight against the Pelicans.  Dragic has at least 34 fantasy points in four of his last five games and eight of his last ten.  He has been rolling since the All Star break when he stepped into a more active role in the Miami offense due to the absence of Chris Bosh. The Pelicans have been ravaged by injury and have been the worst team in the NBA against opposing PG in their last five games, so give Dragic a long look at this relatively affordable price.
