March is in full swing, which means the NCAA Tournament has captivated the country, and while the Big Dance is an opportunity for those still playing in it to boost their NBA draft stock, it is also the end of the road for many college careers. As teams are eliminated from the postseason, the early entry list for June’s draft will continue to grow, especially as the new draft rules allow prospects to explore the process more fully. The result is likely to be a large field of early entrants that will shrink throughout the spring as many players receive feedback that suggests they should return to school. For now, though, dreamers like Yale guard Makai Mason will test the waters alongside surefire first rounders like LSU’s Ben Simmons.
