High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,600): Westbrook is the most expensive play on the board tonight and it’s easy to see why. He only played 27 minutes as the Thunder coasted past the Jazz but still had 40.9 fantasy points. He has at least 40 fantasy points in six straight games and had three straight triple-doubles before finishing Thursday with 15 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. Westbrook and the Thunder beat the Spurs in their very first game of the season but lost two weeks ago in San Antonio when Westbrook had just 31.7 fantasy points. He’ll have to deal with the Spurs’ defense again tonight, but San Antonio is expected to rest Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kawhi Leonard, and Manu Ginobili. Westbrook should have an easier time against the Spurs than he typically does.

Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (8,700): Lillard had a down game on Wednesday in LA but still managed 32.6 fantasy points on 18 points and eight assists. He had run off three straight games of at least 39 fantasy points in the three previous games, and he should be in a good spot to bounce back in a big way against the woeful 76ers in the late game tonight. The Sixers have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG over their last five games, so as long as the game is relatively close, Lillard should have 40+ fantasy points again tonight.

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (8,000): Thomas takes on his old team, so you know he’ll be fired up to head to Phoenix and take it to the Suns. He has at least 42 fantasy points in three of his last six games with over 31 fantasy points in eight of his last ten. He’s picking up some of the slack while Jae Crowder is missing with is resulting in more assists and rebounds. The only risk with IT4 is that he will only play limited minutes as he did when the two sides met earlier this season and the Celtics blew away the suns and Thomas played 24 minutes. Boston has had a few days off since their win on Wednesday and don’t play again until Monday, so the only thing slowing down Thomas will be if the game gets out of hand early.

Derrick Rose-Chicago Bulls (6,900): Rose is coming off a huge 30-point performance on Thursday in NYC where he got to 39.9 fantasy points with three assists, two steals, and two rebounds.  He has at least 24 fantasy points in each of his six games since his most recent injury and over 30 fantasy points in each of his last three. As the Bulls battle for their playoff spot, Rose is quickly emerging as the best option in their offense with both Pau Gasol and Jimmy Butler trying to play through injuries. Tonight, Rose and the Bulls get a nice matchup against the Magic who won’t have their best individual defender with Victor Oladipo sidelined.

Shelvin Mack-Utah Jazz (6,000): Mack had a pair of down games in Utah’s recent back-to-back with just 20.9 fantasy points and 15.4 fantasy points. He has been thriving in the six previous games though with at least 31 fantasy points in each of those contests including three double-doubles.  Tonight, he’ll face the Timberwolves who have allowed the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. The Wolves also logged a ton of minutes last night in their double-OT win over Washington, so may have some tired legs which should allow Mack to return to his earlier form.∗∗
