The New Jersey Devils might be mostly out of the playoff race, but they are still looking to add some momentum to build on going into next season. "Quick release in the slot. @NJDevils go ahead on the PP. #BOSvsNJDhttps://t.co/PhophowCoA— NHL (@NHL) March 30, 2016"
That’s vintage Travis Zajac. It’s something that Devils fans haven’t seen much of before this season since his 2013-2014 season, but it’s quickly starting to become more common again. Zajac is an important player for the Devils going forward, so New Jersey has to be pleased that he’s producing again.
The Devils wing has battled back from injuries to become an effective player for the Devils. He now has 14 goals (his highest since 2013-2014) and 27 assists (also his highest since 2013-2014) for 41 points. Zajac has a chance to beat his 2013-2014 season total of 30 assists. He has 389 points in 694 games during his career that he has spent entirely with the Devils.
