High Value PG

Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (5,600): Mudiay has been inconsistent for the Nuggets this month with some great highs and some woeful lows.  One of his best games of the season came last Wednesday against the Nuggets when he had 51.25 fantasy points on 27 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists against the 76ers, but he also had a horrible outing Sunday when he had just 11 fantasy points on four points, two rebonds, a block, and an assist against the Clippers. His better games have tended to come at home which makes him high-risk tonight as the Nuggets head to Memphis.  It is a good matchup, though, since Memphis still is patching together their lineup.

J.J. Barea-Dallas Mavericks (5,000): One of the beneficiaries of the injuries in Dallas has been J.J. Barea who had an impressive 42.25 fantasy points on 18 points and 11 assists against the Nuggets on Monday.  He has at least 25 fantasy points in five of his last seven games and over 35 fantasy points in two of his last three.  I see Barea as a good play tonight although he’s not quite as low-risk as Felton. I do love his ceiling, though, and he has played well this year whenever he’s had to step up for injured teammates.

Raymond Felton-Dallas Mavericks (4,600): Felton will get a chance to face his former team as the Knicks visit Dallas, and he’ll be very involved in the offensive attack for the Mavs with Deron Williams and Chandler Parsons both sidelined again tonight.  Felton has played over 30 minutes in each of his last three games as the Mavs visited Oakland, Sacramento, and Denver.  He finished with at least 26 fantasy points in each of those outings finishing with at least 11 points, four boards, and five assists in each game.  Tonight, he should be extra motivated and face a very beatable matchup, so I expect Felton to be a solid (yet popular) option.

Tim Frazier-New Orleans Pelicans (3,700): Frazier had a down game on Monday as he slid down the depth chart with the return of Jrue Holiday.  He will move back into a more active role tonight, though, since Holiday was lost for the season with an orbital fracture continuing the run of crushing injuries that New Orleans has sustained this season.  Frazier  scored in double-digits for six straight games before Monday’s downer when he only managed four. He did still have 18 fantasy points, but with Holiday no longer taking minutes, Frazier should be back over 20 fantasy points per night.

Tyler Ennis-Milwaukee Bucks (3,300): One cheap PG play to consider is the Bucks’ Tyler Ennis who had nine points and 12 assists on Saturday in Charlotte and is out-playing Jerryd Bayless coming down the stretch.  Ennis has shown he an produce nice stat lines when he gets the chance and has at least 19 fantasy points in the last four games in which he has played at least 20 minutes. Tonight, he’ll get a great matchup against the Suns who allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG, so he has a truckload of upside if coach Jason Kidd decides to give him extended run tonight.
