High Value PG

Elfrid Payton-Orlando Magic (5,900): Payton has been excellent for Orlando since returning from his elbow injury and has put up three double-doubles in his last four games.  He has at least 28 fantasy points in each of those four contests with three games with over 34 fantasy points. He had a quick double-double against the Nets on Tuesday but only played 26 minutes as Orlando ran away from Brooklyn. Payton has struggled this year in his previous matchups with tonight’s opponent, the Pacers, but his recent form merits him consideration at his sub-6K price.

Patrick Beverley-Houston Rockets (5,000): Beverley had a nicely-balanced line in Houston’s win in Cleveland on Tuesday finishing with ten points, seven rebounds, and six assists for a solid 32.4 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last nine games although he has been held under 15 fantasy points in three of the other contests during that span. Tonight, Beverley and the Rockets get the Bulls who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG this season, so Beverley has a good shot at putting together another nice night tonight although he is still a little boom or bust.

Tim Frazier-New Orleans Pelicans (4,000): Frazier played 25 minutes against the Spurs last night and finishes with 11 points, seven assists, three rebounds, and two steals.  He has at least 20 fantasy points in five of his last eight games since stepping into a bigger role for the Pelicans and will keep getting all the minutes he can take with all the injuries sin the Pelicans’ backcourt.  With Jrue Holiday, Norris Cole, Eric Gordon, and Tyreke Eveans all out tonight, Frazier should be set up for success especially in a matchup with the Nuggets who are finishing their back-to-back with a trip to New Orleans.

Austin Rivers-Los Angeles Clippers (3,600): The first of our Clippers’ value plays of the day is Austin Rivers who will pick up plenty of time with Chris Paul out. Rivers missed some time with a broken hand earlier this month, but he has returned and been pretty good as of late.  In his last ten games, he has scored in double digits six times while averaging 10.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in his 22.3 minutes per game.  He’ll play much more than that tonight against the Thunder who allow the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. The matchup and the opportunity give Rivers a ton of upside tonight.
