2nd Round Pick: OG Vadal Alexander, LSU

The Falcons are in SEC country, so why not continue the theme in Round 2 with a big guy from LSU?

Devonta Freeman made the 2015 Pro Bowl despite having little to no help from his interior lineman. The Falcons were able to address the issue at center in free agency, so now it’s time to pick up an offensive guard in the 2nd round.

Vadal Alexander fits the bill. He’s 6′-5″, 326 pounds out of LSU where Les Miles knows how to develop great linemen. Leonard Fournette is a great back, but he had some help from guys like Alexander as well.

The Falcons really need to find a guard within the first two rounds of the draft because they could use some help on both sides of the line. Just one will do for now and try to figure something out on the other side, but for sure this issue needs to be addressed early in the draft.

Alexander looks to be a solid prospect and is generally rated in the top three guards for 2016.
