No. 3 – Orlando Magic

You’ll notice when I talked about decent teams from the Eastern Conference’s Southeast Division that not once was the Magic listed. That’s because, plain and simple, the Magic aren’t good … at all. They need so much help to rebuild the team that Butler would be the bona fide leader from the second his plane landed in Central Florida.

The advantage that the Magic have over many of the other teams in the league is that they have so much young talent that Chicago wouldn’t mind moving their best player. From Elfrid Payton to Victor Oladipo, Orlando would be willing to give away the house to get a big name player back on the team.

Aaron Gordon might even be on the trading block, even though he should be off limits and be kept on the roster in an effort to give Orlando a competitive one-two punch with Butler. The Magic aren’t a lost cause like other teams in the league, so Butler wouldn’t go into total shutdown mode at being traded to a lower level team. It might be good for him to get to a completely  different setting to restart things with his career.
