With their No. 5 overall selection, expect the Jaguars to go with either a cornerback or a defensive tackle to help bolster Bradley’s defense. While it is very likely that Caldwell will go with a Sunshine State defensive back prospect like Florida State’s Jalen Ramsey or even Florida’s Vernon Hargreaves, III at No. 5, Ramsey might already be off the board and going with Hargreaves at No. 5 might be a reach.

Though cornerback is priority No. 1 for the Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft, if Ramsey is off the board then Jacksonville should go with elite defensive end prospect DeForest Buckner of the Oregon Ducks at No. 5 this spring.

Buckner had a great senior season in Eugene, making First-Team All-Pac-12. He had 10.5 sacks, 17.0 tackles for a loss of yardage, and 83 tackles on what was a sub-par Ducks defense. Keep in mind that he routinely faced double-teams on the Oregon defensive line.

Jacksonville is building a potentially ferocious front seven and bringing in a fast and rangy defensive end like Buckner could help the Jaguars wreak havoc in AFC South backfields for the foreseeable future. His biggest criticism might be leverage, but Buckner is the type of pass rushing prospect that Bradley will make great use in his 4-3 Under base scheme.
