Jacksonville Jaguars: 2016 7-round NFL mock draft
By John Buhler
The Jacksonville Jaguars will have eight draft selections to hopefully improve their up-and-coming AFC South team. Here is their latest 2016 NFL mock draft.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will enter the 2016 NFL season with more optimism than they’ve had in years. Their offense led by franchise quarterback Blake Bortles and Pro Bowl wide receiver Allen Robinson is on the verge of taking the NFL by storm. Jacksonville did very well in 2016 NFL free agency by acquiring players like defensive lineman Malik Jackson and running back Chris Ivory.
With this young team finally starting to establish some continuity under fourth-year head coach Gus Bradley, general manager David Caldwell has eight picks at his disposal to build an even better AFC team in North Florida in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Jacksonville finished 5-11 in 2015 and will have the No. 5 pick to begin their 2016 NFL Draft. The Jaguars have a pick at the top of each round in the draft, as well as an extra sixth round pick (No. 201) from the Pittsburgh Steelers as a part of the Josh Scobee trade last summer.
The Jaguars still have several needs to address on their football team like cornerback, defensive end, center, guard, and at outside linebacker. Here is what the Jaguars could do with their eight selections in this most recent 2016 NFL mock draft for Jacksonville.
