Titus Young. 5. player. 50. . WR. 2011-12

The first of a few wide receivers to make this list, Titus Young was a major bust. Sure, he wasn’t drafted until the second round, but he was expected to be the clear No. 2 beside Calvin Johnson and the Boise State star did nothing but land himself in the doghouse off the field.

Young was the right choice at the time; he looked like a true deep threat out of Boise State and at No. 44 overall in the draft, he was a low-risk, high-reward type of talent. He had already proven to be a serious deep threat with the Broncos during his junior season in 2009, catching 79 passes for 1,041 yards and 10 touchdowns. His senior year was even more impressive as he caught 71 passes for 1,215 yards and nine scores.

In his rookie season with the Lions, Young showed that he had a future in the league, racking up 48 receptions for 607 yards and six touchdowns. The rest of the league would have a nightmare of a time trying to guard he and Megatron.

The next year, the problems started. He played in 10 games and caught 33 passes for 383 yards and four scores, but was an absolute nuisance on the field. He was sent home before the season during spring camps for sucker-punching Louis Delmas and then again during the season for actions on the field and purposely getting plays wrong.

Young has since been cut and was signed by the Rams only to find himself in legal troubles, even getting arrested multiple times in a two-day span. If only he had his head on straight.
