5. Turn Cena heel

Let’s get this out of the way first. Many fans want to see John Cena turn heel for the first time in over a decade. Will it happen? Probably not. Would it be refreshing, though? Absolutely.

Turning Cena heel would probably make him beloved by the “smark” fans who boo him out of the building at every show. Part of the reason boo him is due to the static character he has portrayed for years, so seeing the change finally happen would be delightful to some.

So, let’s say WWE shockingly decides to go full-fledged heel with Cena—how could this be pulled off?

On the day after WrestleMania 32, Roman Reigns went on a morning talk show to call out Cena. There has never been a response since so maybe things come to fruition on an episode of Raw?

Reigns could be cutting a promo in the ring talking about how great he feels to still be the champion after Extreme Rules (takes place eight days prior to Cena’s return) and calls someone to step up to face him. Out comes Cena for the first time on Raw since January. He would make his way to the ring and shake hands with the former Shield man.

Cena would put over Reigns for being a champion, and Roman would thank him for it. They could play each other up for a few minutes, including Cena saying how much he wants that 16th World Championship. Reigns could be the usual babyface and tell him that he’ll give him the chance to do so.

Then, as Reigns is walking out of the ring to seemingly end the segment. Cena attacks him from behind and starts a vicious beat down. He would grab the mic and tell the WWE World Heavyweight Champion “And you’re not getting in my way of winning No. 16.”

The feud would start, and we would go from there.
