3. Ezekiel Elliott

The Dallas Cowboys had a difficult choice when it was their turn in the 2016 NFL Draft. Their two choices were Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott and Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey. It was either take a player that can be a dominant offensive force for years or a player that can be a dominant defensive force for years.

For the Cowboys, it was a good problem to have and there was really no wrong choice to be made. The Cowboys through the draft have already built the most dominant offensive line in the league. Elliott projects to be a great running back and could very well end up doing huge things behind the offensive lineman in front of him.

It’s risky to place too many expectations on a rookie, but Elliott should have a great shot at becoming Offensive Rookie of the Year this upcoming season. He has the size, speed and hands that coaches love in a great running back.

Most of all, he has the determination to be great and the swagger that will fit in line perfectly with the Cowboys. If Tony Romo can stay healthy at the quarterback spot, the Cowboys could and should have the most dangerous offense in the NFL.
