2. Ricky Nolasco-Minnesot Twins (9.7%)

Nolasco has been solid to start the season for the Twins and has pitched into the seventh in every start he has made this season. Nolasco has picked up his strikeout numbers as well in the early going this season making him an attractive option as he takes the mound today against the Tigers and former-Twin Mike Pelfrey.

Nolasco had a season-high nine strikeouts against the Indians in his last start but earned a no-decision allowing four runs on five hits.  He gave up a pair of home runs which proved costly but did not walk a batter.  He only has three walks all season in his 27.2 innings while he has picked up 24 strikeouts.

This afternoon, Nolasco takes on the Tigers which isn’t a great matchup, but given his recent form and sudden strikeout potential he’s an option I like a lot today.  Nolasco enters his start today with an impressive 0.90 WHIP and is holding batters to just a .216 batting average.
