20. player. 123.
Mahomes II is a divisive prospect in that there are some folks who just do not see it. I am (firmly) not in that camp.

In fact, I absolutely love Mahomes II as a prospect.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound quarterback from Texas Tech was insanely productive during his first full season at the helm for the Red Raiders, and that is where the infatuation begins. Mahomes II completed 63.5% of his passes for Kliff Kingsbury, totaling 4,653 yards through the air with 36 touchdowns and only 15 interceptions.

Mahomes II had a “coming out party” against TCU in which he threw for 392 yards and two touchdowns in a loss, but he even got stronger as his sophomore season continued, notching 370-plus passing yards in each of his final three starts. More than that, though, Mahomes II is a very athletic player and he flashed that mobility and explosiveness in rushing for nearly 500 yards and 10 touchdowns during the 2015 season.

Until he “proves” that this type of production is translatable from an offense like Texas Tech, there will be skeptics everywhere, but I’m all in on Patrick Mahomes II when it comes to the draft and his considerably high NFL ceiling.
. QB. Texas Tech. Patrick Mahomes II
