5. NBC’s Coverage

NBC owns a variety of television channels. During most of the season, Premier League matches are only aired on three of their English stations, NBC, NBCSN, and USA Network. Yet, Decision Day brings out the best from NBC as all 20 Premier League teams play simultaneously across the NBC family of channels.

While many of these are channels that most sports fans didn’t know exist except once a year when they are looking for them, it allow the fans to watch their favorite team on cable rather than through some illegal stream if their team isn’t on NBC, NBCSN, or USA Network.

Additionally, NBC has some of the best talent for their soccer games as well. Arlo White and Rebecca Lowe are two of the better known pundits. Both have become loved by both the network’s executives and soccer fans equally. Lowe has been out on maternity leave for a portion of the Premier League season.

The Premier League season and NBC’s whip around coverage post-match have offered a preview of what is to come during their 2016 Olympics coverage for all sports including soccer. Sunday’s action across 10 networks simultaneously requires a lot of work logistically, but provides NBC a good test for what is to come and what fans will expect when the Olympics begin in Rio in August.

NBC airing the Premier League has been a home run and it will show again on Sunday as fans tune in for the 2015-16 finale.
