SF. Duke. Brandon Ingram . 2. player. 20.
The Lakers have to be happy with Tuesday’s lottery results as they did not have to convey their pick to the Sixers and can begin their rebuilding process right away. Duke’s Brandon Ingram will fit perfectly in purple and gold, playing as the team’s small forward next to D’Angelo Russell.

Ingram is one of the draft’s youngest prospects and has plenty of room to grow both physically and on the basketball court. He is an excellent scorer on the offensive end where he earned the trust of his head coach at Duke to increasingly operate in isolation versus defenders.

At 6-10, Ingram will be a mismatch for nearly any small forward in the NBA. He is a solid outside shooter, having made 41.0 percent of his 195 three-point attempts at Duke as a freshman. The one concern about his outside shooting, though, is that Ingram is a poor free throw shooter (68.2 percent), which doesn’t bode well for the sustainability of his jumper. Still, Ingram will have time to correct any mechanical issues and his offensive versatility will be welcome on a Lakers team that will be looking to find help putting up points.

To read more about Brandon Ingram, <a href=
